I Got a Boy is so different from the other albums. At first, I was not too attracted to the album but now that I listen to it more and watch the videos, whoever worked out the video sequence is brilliant. The world is changing, so is their music, and for that matter so are they. Girls Generation is growing up and I had a hard time accepting that. I Got a Boy is a transition for them. From their teenage "girlhood" to a more trendy pop/rap culture. The video is pretty obvious to that but there are little hints of our girls being the cute shy girls that we like to see them as. I watch the version that has the girls playing in their room when a guy knocks on the door and everyone scrambles. I can almost imagine that the girls are like that in a way. Then they present their rap dance which is stating that things are changing but they always keep to the up beat which is the theme of most of their music. Then we touch into scenes of girls meeting a guy and how innocent a touch of hands or tying of shoe laces can be so romantic. Thank you for those memories as we have them in our hearts when we were young too and the video just reminded us that we were there too.

You girls rock !!! Even if your music is changing and you guys are blossoming, you are Girls Generation forever in my heart.
